Odds are pretty good that if you're a Linkin Park fan, you've probably sung along to Chester Bennington's vocals on "Numb." But to truly appreciate what Bennington does vocally, a new clip has hit the web that pulls out Bennington's vocals from the mix providing an a capella version of the song.

And while it's safe to say that some vocalists suffer when the production is taken away from their vocals, that's definitely not the case for Bennington, who shows the ability to use the rasp in his voice to not only deliver the quiet, melodic moments of the track, but to also belt out powerfully long notes that would leave most of us gasping for air. Be sure to check out the clip above and be aware that Bennington's vocals don't actually kick in until 23 seconds in.

At present, Bennington is taking advantage of a break in Linkin Park's schedule to play some shows and finish off a new album with Stone Temple Pilots. The vocalist is coming off a broken ankle, but expects to be good to go when STP kicks off their spring touring on April 8 at Seattle's Paramount Theater.

While there's no official word as of yet on a Stone Temple Pilots release date for the disc, fans can be satisfied with the fact that the band is back on the concert stage with shows booked through April 30. The band also has one off festival appearances at Arizona Bike Week in Scottsale, Ariz. on March 28 and at the SunFest Festival Grounds in West Palm Beach, Fla. on May 2 bookending the trek.

As for Linkin Park, the group will resume touring activities in May, kicking off with an appearance on May 9 at the inaugural Rock in Rio USA festival in Las Vegas. A number of festival appearances will follow, including a headlining spot at the inaugural Loudwire Music Festival taking place June 26-28 in Grand Junction, Colo. at the Jam Ranch.
