Linkin Park Rock New iPhone App That Creates Custom-Made Videos
Linkin Park have teamed with mobile social media app Viddy to allow fans to create music videos on their iPhone and are offering an autographed guitar to the fan who turns in the best impersonation of a member of the band.
Viddy is a new app that lets fans utilize innovative special effects and music to make 15-second music videos on their iPhones, iPads, and iPods. The growing library of artists who have made their music available through the app include Snoop Dogg, Incubus, Mindless Behavior and now Linkin Park.
To launch their new partnership with Viddy, Linkin Park are challenging fans to make a killer video using one of their five available soundtracks. In addition, the band will award an autographed guitar for the user that puts down the best Linkin Park impersonation in said video. Official rules and details for the contest can be found on the Viddy website.
Linkin Park are currently in the studio working on their fifth studio album and follow-up to 2010’s ‘A Thousand Suns’ with producer Rick Rubin.
