Up until now it’s been strictly rumor that Mastodon, Opeth and Ghost were teaming up for a North American tour run, but Mastodon bassist and vocalist Troy Sanders recently confirmed the upcoming jaunt.

During an interview at a Belgian radio station, Sanders spilled the beans talking about the band’s future plans, saying, “We go to Australia take part in the Soundwave Festival, which is going to be lovely, take a short break. Do a North American tour with Opeth and Ghost. And then take another break and come back over here for the European festival season.”

Mastodon guitarist Bill Kelliher took part in the interview as well. Topics of discussion included their “Odorous tube,” otherwise known as a tour bus, the band’s lack of onstage banter and being in a band with your best friends. Watch a clip of the video below.

Ghost recently kicked off a 13-date U.S. tour that will take them through early February preceding this newly announced run. Check out those dates here.

The dates for the Mastodon, Opeth, and Ghost tour have not yet been revealed, but stay tuned for details!
