Myles Kennedy Wins Vocalist of the Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards

Myles Kennedy
Liz Ramanand, Loudwire

Slash struck pure vocal gold when he landed Myles Kennedy to front his solo band, and fans definitely took notice naming the rocker with the big voice the Vocalist of the Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards.

Kennedy took an early lead in the Vocalist of the Year category and really was never threatened with losing it. The singer earned a huge 35.7 percent of the final tally in the category, easily besting the runner-up, Stone Sour / Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, who received just shy of 24 percent. There were 10 nominees overall, but between Kennedy, Taylor and Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale the three tallied just under of 75 percent of the vote.

Congrats to Myles Kennedy on winning the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards Vocalist of the Year and keep an eye out for him returning with a new album from his main gig, Alter Bridge, and potentially releasing a solo album in 2013. See the full results below and click the red button for the next winner:
