A post on Pantera's Facebook page condemns a despicable act by an individual or group of individuals who desecrated Dimebag Darrell's grave while traveling through Texas on tour.

Someone with the Instagram account crustyplague displayed an image of Dimebag's grave and claimed that he and his bandmates apparently spat on it and wrote a slur on the memorial stone. The culprits apparently robbed a pair of boots that were placed at the gravesite, as well.

The post on Pantera's Facebook page, which can be seen below, shows the Instagram image from crustyplague and reads, "We are absolutely disgusted by this! We ask that all of you please show Dime & his grave the respect he deserves. This conduct will not be tolerated and the authorities have been notified."

Update: The band Nuclear Hellfrost has issued a statement via Facebook saying that Instagram user crustyplague is their former lead singer. They claim they are completely disconnected from the culprit, calling it a misguided publicity stunt that they were unfortunately "dragged into by a former member with an awful sense of humor." Their full post can be seen below:

Update 2: In response to the desecration of Dimebag Darrell's grave, it now appears that Nuclear Hellfrost have lost their spot on the upcoming Berserker II festival. Posts on the matter can be found here and here.

Update 3: The culprit has now come forth. Reece Eber has offered a statement in which he takes responsibility for his actions, calling it "the dumbest possible delinquent act of my life." He offers his apologies for his actions and adds that he's sorry that he put the people he cares about in potential danger and upset so many with his selfish and morbid sense of humor. Check out the post below.

This past Dec. 8 marked the 10 year anniversary of Dimebag's tragic death. The guitarist was slain onstage by a crazed gunman while playing with his band Damageplan in Columbus, Ohio. A number of of musicians paid tribute to the legendary guitarist in a video series we presented in the weeks leading up to the anniversary. See a compilations of those video tributes below.
