As Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals prepare to hit the road for the next leg of the 'Technicians of Distortion' tour, they have released a couple of promo videos talking about the upcoming trek with Author & Punisher and Hymn. The tour launches on Friday (Jan. 10) in Houston.

In the first video filmed in his New Orleans based Nodsferatu's Lair Studio (watch above), Anselmo and company talk about the first three dates of the tour. Guitarist Marzi Montazeri gives the dates and locations, and refers to Sauget, Ill. as 'Sausage.'

The second video (watch below) is very similar to the first, except it's bassist Steve Taylor in the spotlight promoting the next three stops on the tour (Omaha, Denver and Seattle). Taylor is able to pronounce all the city names correctly, unlike his bandmate.

The tour is in support of Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals' full-length debut album 'Walk Through Exits Only,' which was released in July of last year. They also unleashed a two-song EP in October at Anselmo's inaugural Housecore Horror and Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

In addition to The Illegals, Anselmo has been busy working on material for one of his other bands, Down. He has finished the vocals for the band's next EP, which is expected to be released sometime in the first quarter of this year.
