Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin finally settled his divorce with model Jessica Nicole Smith on May 21. Scantlin first filed for divorce on Nov. 29, 2011, and the musician seems pretty happy to finish up the proceedings, as he signed his divorce papers with not one, but two smiley faces.

The estranged couple successfully came to an agreement last month, which leaves Scantlin to pay $2,500 per month in alimony. Luckily for the Puddle of Mudd musician, he and Smith signed a prenuptial agreement before getting married. Smith originally wanted the pre-nup thrown out, but the model eventually withdrew her request.

Upon seeing Scantlin's smiley faces on the divorce papers, Smith's lawyer Brian Kramer put a refreshingly positive spin on the signature. "It's most definitely the first time in all my years of doing this work that I've have had an opposing party sign with a smiley face on a divorce decree imposing maximum spousal support," Kramer tells TMZ. "It's certainly a refreshing change to see an artist who is cheerful about honoring such an obligation instead of treating it like it were the end of the world."

Scantlin may be all smiles now, but the Puddle of Mudd frontman still has to deal with the IRS, as he apparently owes $60,000 in back taxes.
