The past few months have been rough on Puddle of Mudd singer Wes Scantlin. In November Scantlin filed for divorce, in December the IRS was reportedly pursuing him for more than $60,000 in back taxes, and now TMZ is reporting that last month Scantlin was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

According to the report, Scantlin was pulled over on Jan. 12 in Culver City, Calif. for a traffic violation. After sources say he showed signs of intoxication he was searched, resulting in the authorities finding a controlled substance, reportedly of a pill and powder combination.

Scantlin was booked for felony possession but released after posting the $10,000 in bail.

Scantlin has not yet commented on the arrest.

Puddle of Mudd's last album was their collection of cover tunes called 're:(disc)overed,' released in August of 2011.
