Shinedown’s ‘Bully’ Takes Over No. 1 Spot on Active Rock Chart

Mary Ouellette,

With their new disc ‘Amaryllis’ not out until March 27, Shinedown already have a reason to celebrate this month. The album’s first single ‘Bully’ has taken over the No. 1 spot the Active Rock Chart. The song has been gaining steam since its release on Jan. 3, and has now bumped Volbeat’s ‘A Warrior’s Call’ from the top of the tally.

The song, as the title implies, tackles the issue of bullying while maintaining a positive outlook focused on solidarity. For fans looking for a little more interactivity with the track, it’s now available on Jammit! and the band is looking forward to seeing some videos of fans playing the tune.

March is a big month for the band: Not only will ‘Amaryllis’ see the light of day, but Shinedown will also be heading out on the road as the headliners of  the 2012 Avalanche tour. The trek also features Adelitas Way, New Medicine and Art of Dying.
