After they parted ways last year with longtime vocalist Chance Garnette, Skeletonwitch have named Adam Clemans of Wolvhammer fame as their new singer.

Guitarist Scott Hedrick says, "We are extremely excited to announce Adam as the new singer for Skeletonwitch. He’s a killer vocalist, lyricist, and all-around creative force. Please welcome him to the Skeletonwitch family as we begin this new chapter. As always, thanks to everyone who has, and continues to, support us.”

In the video above, Clemans talks about his background and how he came to join the band: "One morning I randomly woke up to an email from Dustin (Boltjes) asking me if I had any interest in doing Skeletonwitch. I've been a fan of Skeletonwitch for a long time and those guys are really cool, so it was kind of a no-brainer for me."

Clemans continues, "They instantly sent me a couple songs, we demoed them out, I ended up going down to Ohio to hang out. They just wanted to make sure they had the right guy, obviously, because it's a big slot to fill. Nate (Garnette) wanted to make sure I could drink beer and not be a crazy person, which I don't know if I achieved fully. It's awesome. It's going well so far."

After his exit from the band, Chance Garnette revealed that alcohol played a big role in his firing. Skeletonwitch finished out that tour as an instrumental outfit, and then recruited Andy Horn (Cannabis Corpse, Battlemaster) to fill the vocal duties on a European tour.

Clemans has recorded an EP with Skeletonwitch, which will be released this summer. "I’m very excited about how the new EP turned out,” says the singer. “Working with like-minded musicians is always a pleasure, and I’m confident that the new chapter of this band will carry the Skeletonwitch banner properly and proudly.”

Skeletonwitch are part of this year's Decibel Magazine Tour along with Abbath, High on Fire, and Tribulation. The trek kicks off March 17 in Baltimore, Md.
