Veteran hard rockers Skillet are inching closer to the Aug. 5 release of Unleashed, the band's follow-up to 2013's Rise and their ninth overall studio album. Having previously released a lyric video for the anthemic single "Feel Invincible," the quartet have offered the full visual component with a music video.

"Feel Invincible" is an uplifting and undeniably catchy track, but the video dwells in various shades of black. The band is dressed entirely in black, rocking all black guitars, bass and drum kit while playing in a dimly lit warehouse in front of a gray-burst backdrop. Peculiar characters ranging from gas masked figures, samurai warriors and more are alternated with shots of the band and, yes, they too are covered head to toe in black.

Commenting on the single, frontman John Cooper told Billboard it "represents the album in one facet really well: [Unleashed] is full of crowd-chanting anthems. The album is very exciting to listen to. Driving beats and melodic choruses, whether it's hard rock or leaning toward pop. [It's] quite diverse — there are more extreme songs on both sides of the spectrum, meaning harder rock and even metal, but also pop and atmospheric tunes/sounds.”

Fans can expect to hear "Feel Invincible" alongside other new cuts off Unleashed as well as plenty of classics from Skillet's rich discography while they head out on tour. Out in support of the forthcoming record, the rockers will hit the road for a headlining tour featuring Thousand Foot Krutch, Sick Puppies and Devour the Day. Thousand Foot Krutch will drop off and be relieved by Sick Puppies and one date will not feature Devour the Day, so check the listings at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours carefully.
