Slayer Lead Second Round of 2013 Soundwave Festival Additions

Kerry King of Slayer
Liz Ramanand, Loudwire

If you still weren’t sold knowing that Metallica, Anthrax, Linkin Park, Stone Sour and A Perfect Circle were heading to Australia’s Soundwave Festival early next year, does the addition of Slayer make you want to book your ticket right now?

If you weren’t counting, that would make three of the “Big Four” that will be part of the touring festival, leaving only Megadeth off the bill. Plus, the hard rocking touring festival has also bolstered the lineup with other new additions like Gallows, Bullet for My Valentine, Billy Talent, Bring Me the Horizon, Mindless Self Indulgence, the Amity Affliction, Sick of It All, Cypress Hill, and others.

They join a bill that also includes Fozzy, the Offspring, Ghost, Duff McKagan’s Loaded, Periphery, Dragonforce, and more.

The Soundwave Festival launches Feb. 23 in Brisbane, with shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to follow. Visit the festival website for more lineup and ticketing details.
