Soundgarden are getting in on the Record Store Day (April 20) fun by releasing a limited edition vinyl featuring their 'King Animal' demos. This will be the first time these recordings have been available together on one release and will give listeners a peek at how some of the material from their recent album sounded early on.

The songs will be pressed on 10-inch pink vinyl and the six-song collection will also come with a free digital download card. The demos were recorded by the band at TNC Studios in Los Angeles and Deke River Studio in Seattle.

This year's Record Store Day (April 20) will yield quite a few interesting releases, with Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Linkin Park and many more offering special vinyl offerings. Stay tuned to the Record Store Day website to see what all will be offered in independent record stores on April 20.

Soundgarden have already enjoyed one successful tour leg this year in support of the 'King Animal' album and will spend the month of May playing their second leg. The run features a number of festival appearances, including Rock on the Range and Carolina Rebellion.
