Polish death metal legends Decapitated have just dropped two pieces of big news. First off, Decapitated announced their return to the studio to record their sixth full-length album. Also, the metallers have officially introduced Michal Lysejko as their new drummer.

Slipknot and Decapitated may not have too much in common sonically, but former Decapitated drummer Kerim 'Krimh' Lechner is hoping to become Slipknot's new drummer. The heavy-hitting death metal drummer has uploaded footage of himself playing the Slipknot tracks 'People = S--t' and 'Eyeless' with the hope of getting the attention of the masked Iowa act.

Now that Randy Blythe has been acquitted of all charges in his controversial Czech manslaughter case, Lamb of God have announced that they will be embarking on a U.S. tour this spring. In addition, the band has also planned a very unique mountain retreat for a select group of fans this summer.

For nearly two months, there has been speculation that British extreme metal heavyweights Cradle of Filth would be headlining a North American tour with support from The Faceless, Decapitated and The Agonist. Luckily for metal fans, the tour has been officially confirmed by Cradle of Filth, along with a full line of tour dates.

A devastating earthquake hit New York City last night. It affected somewhere between 2000-3000 people by a fault line created underneath 56th St. and 11th Ave at the Terminal 5 concert venue. Geologists believe that the earthquake was caused by sonic brutality unleashed by Meshuggah at their May 23 concert date. All concertgoers survived, but none will be the same.
