With a Grammy under their belt, Halestorm show no signs of slowing down. They spent 2013 touring in promotion of their most recent album, ‘The Strange Case Of…,' and from the looks of it, 2014 will be another eventful year for the band.
Halestorm received a major present at the beginning of the year with a nice shiny Grammy. The band has been trekking nonstop in support of their latest album ‘The Strange Case Of…,’ and during their New York date at Terminal 5 we had the chance to speak with drummer Arejay Hale and bassist Josh Smith about what they'd like for Christmas.
In true rock fashion, Halestorm spent the majority of 2013 out on the road in support of their second studio album ‘The Strange Case of…’ With their monster tour cycle wrapping up later this week, followed by a short holiday break, the band is ready to jump into the creative process for their third full-length studio disc.
There’s no rest for the weary and that couldn’t be truer for the members of Halestorm. If they aren’t off winning Grammys or recording cover EPs, then they’re on the road. Lzzy Hale and the gang are meant to be headliners and they proved that with their stellar performance at New York City’s Terminal 5 over the holiday weekend.
Halestorm have always embraced cover songs. In 2011 they released ‘ReAniMate: The CoVeRs eP.' More recently, Lzzy Hale sang ‘Close My Eyes Forever’ with David Draiman on Device’s self-titled debut and also sang Duran Duran’s ‘Come Undone’ with Adrenaline Mob on their 2012 album ‘Omerta.’ One of the best covers they have done is ‘Empire State of Mind’ from last year’s ‘The Live Room’ EP.
Happy Birthday to Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale. The rock goddess turns 29 today (Oct. 10), still quite young for a woman who has been making music for more than 15 years. To celebrate 'Mz. Hyde,' Halestorm's clip for 'Here's to Us' is our video of the day.
In addition to cranking out a slew of their own radio hits, Halestorm have always had a soft spot for cover tunes. On Oct. 15, the band will release 'ReAnimate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP,' which features their own distinctive takes on an interesting range of songs.
