In addition to cranking out a slew of their own radio hits, Halestorm have always had a soft spot for cover tunes. On Oct. 15, the band will release 'ReAnimate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP,' which features their own distinctive takes on an interesting range of songs.
Will the song of the summer become the song of the fall, as well? If Halestorm have anything to say about it, that may very well be the case. Even for hard rock and metal fans, it's been hard to escape hearing Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' at least a few times and now Halestorm has covered the track for their 'ReAniMate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP,' which is due Oct. 15.
Day 1 of the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival, featuring Korn, Megadeth and Shinedown, would be a tough act to follow. But leave it to Avenged Sevenfold to lead a Day 2 attack that was nothing short of breathtaking.
Halestorm have lit up music charts with their 2012 album 'The Strange Case Of...' debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart and cracking the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 chart. The disc has also yielded the hit singles 'Love Bites (So Do I),' 'I Miss the Misery' and 'Here's to Us.' Now, Halestorm are set to unleash 'ReAniMated 2.0: the CoVeRs eP' which will pay tribute to classic and modern bands.
In their latest video for ‘Here’s to Us,’ Halestorm had a blast giving their best take on genres of music from the past in the montage that pays homage to the hairband era of the '80s, the grunge scene of the '90s and the present day. In the brand new behind the scenes video seen above, debuting exclusively on Loudwire, the rockers show fans an intimate look at what life is like on a Halestorm video shoot.
It turns out Lzzy Hale was the true girl on fire as the frontwoman and the rest of her Halestorm crew got a major Cage Match win with ‘Here’s to Us’ by beating out reigning champs Girl on Fire. But can Halestorm do it again as they face this round’s formidable opponents?
Halestorm are still a relatively new band in the public eye, but the truth is they've been around for 15 years. Frontwoman Lzzy Hale began writing original music with her drummer brother Arejay since she was 13 years old, and the year later, Halestorm was born.
