Iced Earth graced the stage at a packed house at Best Buy Theater in New York City this past weekend. The band is currently touring in promotion of their new album ‘Plagues of Babylon.’ Support was offered by powerhouse metal acts Sabaton and ReVamp.
Iced Earth are back with their second offering since former Into Eternity frontman Stu Block has taken over vocal duties. While many fans saw the last album, ‘Dystopia,’ injecting a bit of new life into the band, ‘Plagues of Babylon’ continues in the same manner with some fresh songwriting ideas from guitarist Jon Schaffer.
More than three weeks ahead of its Jan. 21 North American release date, Iced Earth's album 'Plagues of Babylon' is available for streaming via Spotify (listen below). It's the follow-up to 2011's 'Dystopia.'
Back in April, power metal veterans Iced Earth revealed the title of their next studio album would be 'Plagues of Babylon.' Now, it is confirmed that it will be released Jan. 21 via Century Media Records. The year 2013 is turning out to be a very productive one for Iced Earth. The band recently released their first official DVD/Blu-Ray, 'Live in Ancient Kourion,' and now they've unveiled that things are moving along on their upcoming studio album.
