Trivium's Matt Heafy has been talking about his black metal project Mrityu for years, but it looks like the album will be underway soon, collaborating with Ihsahn.
Ihsahn is one of extreme metal’s most revered and complete musicians. His work with Emperor speaks for itself, but one aspect many don’t account for is Ihsahn’s age when he released those four game-changing albums. In 2001, he folded Emperor in order to focus on other projects like Peccatum. Following Peccatum’s demise, he ventured into solo territory with his first album ‘The Adversary’ in 2006.
We've got the exclusive premiere of a new track from Ihsahn! The legendary avant-garde black metal musician is soon to release his fifth solo album, 'Das Seelenbrechen,' but to curb your appetite for new material from Ihsahn, we're giving you the song 'Tacit' right now (listen below).
Serj Tankian, Devin Townsend, Ihsahn (ex-Emperor) and Ray Holroyd (12 Ton Method) recently teamed up to record a song honoring former South African president Nelson Mandela, and now the lyric video for 'We Are' has been released (watch above).
Musical chameleons Serj Tankian, Devin Townsend, Ihsahn (ex-Emperor) and Ray Holroyd (12 Ton Method) have joined forces to create a track dedicated to iconic South African revolutionary and the country's former president, Nelson Mandela.
