As I Lay Dying are halfway to their first induction into the Death Match Hall of Fame. Riding off a win against The Dillinger Escape Plan, As I Lay Dying's 'No Lungs to Breathe' needs two more wins before being declared immortal in our Death Match Hall of Fame. The American metalcore outfit have come close in the past, and they have another chance with this latest run, but first, the West Coast metal outfit has to defeat an East Coast powerhouse.
Although Jesse Leach has been killing it with Killswitch Engage ever since his return to the band last year, it's safe to say that the voice of Howard Jones is sorely missed in the rock world. Jones left Killswitch Engage so he could manage his Type 2 Diabetes more efficiently, among other reasons. He has been jamming with his old math core band Blood Has Been Shed, but now it's been reported that Jones is working on yet another project with members of All Shall Perish and Devolved.
Killswitch Engage's reunion with former vocalist Jesse Leach is off to a rocking start thanks to the newly unleashed single, 'In Due Time.' The band officially posted the track online Wednesday (Jan. 30), giving their fans a taste of what the upcoming 'Disarm the Descent' album will sound like.
The upcoming sixth album from Killswitch Engage can certainly claim the distinction of "highly anticipated." It was recently revealed that the disc will be titled 'Disarm the Descent' and be released on April 2, but another piece of the puzzle has been released in the form of the album's cover art (pictured here).
Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach has joined forces with Chicago non-profit organization 'Hope for the Day' and Alternative Press magazine to release their latest video segment of 'Music Saved My Life.' In the video, Leach goes in-depth about the positive emotional impact that music had on his life, especially during the darkest of times.
