Linkin Park are among a new list of performers announced for next month's American Music Awards. The 40th anniversary edition of the awards will be held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 18, and will be broadcast live on ABC.
Linkin Park are reaching out to their fan base once again and if they respond to the latest call for action, the group will reveal their 'Castle of Glass' music video early. There's a catch though, as the band is directing fans to test out the multiplayer beta for the upcoming game 'Medal of Honor Warfighter' game from EA.
The bridges between bands and their fans continue to crumble, with Linkin Park taking the latest step with their new 'Lost in the Echo' interactive video. The clip went live Wednesday, with lots of their fans not seeing the band, but rather some of their closest friends in the video.
Linkin Park know a thing or two about natural disasters, as their Music for Relief charitable organization has been at the forefront of raising funds in a number of countries after weather-related catastrophes. So it would make sense that the group would be a little more aware of what it takes to be prepared in case of an emergency. With that being said, the National Weather Service has declared the group 'Storm Ready.'
Anyone who's kept up with Linkin Park over the years knows Chester Bennington's knack for getting injured. The singer has had more freak injuries over the years than you can imagine, so the group had a few concerns when their new stage setup was introduced prior to the Honda Civic Tour.
There was a time when nu metal was the big thing, and Linkin Park definitely thrived. But there was a quick saturation point with the genre, and the band, who may not have been a true definition of a nu metal act, were smart enough to evolve their sound and survive.
