Official dates for the 2013 Summer Slaughter tour have finally been announced! The 22-date traveling metal fest is set to kick off in San Francisco on July 19 and end just less than a month later in Denver on Aug. 16.

After more than two decades on the scene, Deftones have earned themselves a cult-like following, and on Saturday night (March 9) at New York City's Terminal 5, the band delivered a set that was worshiped by their devoted fans from the first note to the last.

Fans proved that they do in fact “entertain the taste of scarlet.” Periphery and their latest single ‘Scarlet’ have won five consecutive song battles, which means they have made their way into the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame.

Periphery and their track ‘Scarlet’ are steadily winning Cage Matches left and right. After taking down Bring Me the Horizon in the last battle, can Periphery win their fifth and final matchup to enter the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame?

Periphery continue to dominate the Cage Match with ‘Scarlet,’ as they beat out We Came As Romans in the last battle. But will they be able to do it again against today’s competitors?

Periphery and their new song ‘Scarlet’ took down the Amity Affliction over the weekend. Will they they be able to earn a third straight victory against a new contender?

In an incredibly close Cage Match, Periphery and their track ‘Scarlet’ beat out reigning champs Tremonti. Will Periphery be able to pull out a win against today’s challengers?

Mark Tremonti and his solo band continue on with ‘Wish You Well,’ as they beat out Trapt in the last Cage Match, but can they do it again against their new challengers?

Periphery are undoubtedly one of the most exciting metal bands of 2012. With the release of 'Periphery II: This Time It's Personal' and their inclusion in the Summer Slaughter Tour as well as various summer festivals, Periphery are being exposed to a massive new audience that has jumped aboard their unique bandwagon, both metaphorically and physically.

Bad news for upcoming Summer Slaughter audiences -- progressive metal act Periphery have been forced to drop out of the remaining Summer Slaughter dates due to a "family emergency."
