Anyone who ever watched ‘The Osbournes,' the reality tv show based around the life of rockstar Ozzy Osbourne and his family, knows how much the Prince of Darkness and his gang love their furry friends. There was always a cavalcade of four-legged furfaces running around, most notably their beloved bulldog Lola.

Some sad news to report, Jack Osbourne took to Twitter last night to announce the passing of Lola Osbourne at the age of 12. He tweeted, “Lola you were the best friend anyone could ever have. I will love you and miss you always. RIP.” Later on he returned to Twitter to thank his fans and followers for their kind words, saying, “Thank you for all the kind words about @PrincessLolaO it’s nice to know she was loved by so many people.”

Lola, a Twitter star in her own right with over 9 thousand followers, regularly posted photos of herself with painted nails, new collars, or talking to other pooches, said goodbye on Twitter as well, with a little help from her human friends, posting, “Thank you all for your kind words. I’m in a better place now. Heaven needs a new princess.”

Our condolences go out to Jack Osbourne and the entire Osbourne family on the loss of their pet. The Osbourne’s said goodbye to their 14-year-old chihuahua Martin in December so at least Lola will have plenty of play pals in doggy heaven. Rest in peace Lola, may you find many new couches to tear up!
