September may be the busiest release month of the year, but it's not like there's a significant drop off in releases once the calendar turns to October. In fact, there's a wealth of top notch releases, which makes us ask which is the most anticipated album of October.

The release dates start Oct. 6 with Marilyn Manson, the Black Dahlia Murder, August Burns Red, the Darkness, Fireball Ministry and Spotlights leading the way. On Oct. 13, Fozzy, William Patrick Corgan, Enslaved, L.A. Guns, MyChildren MyBride, Stick to Your Guns and Samael are among those with top offerings.

The week of Oct. 20 bring us fresh releases from Trivium, GWAR, Sons of Apollo and CyHra. And on Oct. 27, the month ends with a flurry of releases from the likes of Theory of a Deadman, Butcher Babies, Hollywood Undead, 10 Years, Weezer, The Used, Ne Obliviscaris, Powerman 5000, Appice, Savage Messiah and Winds of Plague among others.

There are plenty of top releases to choose from, and we'll let you tell us your favorite by voting amongst the choices in the poll below. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Sept. 30 at 11:59PM ET and the entrant with the most votes will be named Loudwire's October Release of the Month and be featured in a post on our website. So go ahead and cast your vote in the poll below and come back on Oct. 1 to see which new album topped the poll.
