Detroit area natives Battlecross are set to release their second album for Metal Blade Records, ‘War of Will,’ which drops on July 9, and the guys are hitting the road hard in support of the disc. They kicked off a long run by representing Michigan at Metallica’s Orion Music + More festival last weekend on Belle Island in Detroit.
Metallica's Orion Music + More festival takes place at Detroit’s Belle Isle this coming weekend (June 8 + 9), and frontman James Hetfield and bass player Robert Trujillo are already in town, taking in the Motor City. Yesterday (June 6), the singer and bass player joined Kyle “Gumby” Gunter and Hiran Deraniyagala of Detroit-based metal band Battlecross and others at a press conference in advance of the event.
Thousand Foot Krutch are set to embark on a tour with Brian “Head” Welch’s band Love and Death, as well as the Letter Black and the Wedding. Before the trek kicks off, TFK are unleashing their new music video for ‘War of Change,’ off the band’s independently released, No. 1-selling Billboard Hard Rock album ‘The End is Where We Begin,’ and you can watch it exclusively here on Loudwire.
Papa Roach are keeping busy this holiday season by releasing a new single, ‘Where Did the Angels Go,’ off the band’s ‘The Connection’ album, as well as prepping for a co-headlining North American tour with Stone Sour scheduled for early 2013.
Now, Papa Roach are set to appear on a new episode of ‘Guitar Center Sessions,’ airing next Friday (Dec. 28) at 9 p.m. on DirectTV's Audience Network (Ch. 239). But, why wait? Korn are set to reunite with their founding guitar player Brian 'Head' Welch for two German festival gigs in 2013, and perhaps nobody is more stoked about the get-together than Welch. The metal six-stringer rocked out with Korn onstage for the track 'Blind' last May at the Carolina Rebellion festival in Rockingham, N.C., and he says jamming with Korn just felt right.
Oklahoma-based rockers Aranda unleashed their latest full-length album, ‘Stop the World,’ earlier this year. Now, Aranda are premiering behind-the-scenes footage from their recent photo shoot exclusively on Loudwire (watch below).
