Culture Club’s ‘Karma Chameleon’ Gets a Death Metal Makeover by Andy Rehfeldt

Genre-melding super genius Andy Rehfeldt has struck again with a hilarious death metal rendition of a classic pop anthem. In this piece of Rehfeldt goodness, the musician takes on Culture Club’s ‘Karma Chameleon,’ turning Boy George into the most brutal androgynous vocalist in history.

Andy Rehfeldt has well over 100 videos on his channel, where he bends genres to create hilariously essential mashups. Many of Rehfeldt’s clips have gone viral, such as a smooth-jazz version of Metallica‘s ‘Enter Sandman,’ a ‘Radio Disney’ adaptation of Slipknot‘s ‘Wait and Bleed,’ a death metal version of Justin Bieber’s saccharine sweet ‘Baby’ and many others.

As for Rehfeldt’s most recent offering, the most cringeworthy aspects of the ’80s such as big hair, back-and-forth “dancing” and shiny, shiny, shiny colors are all on display. The audio/visual mix of singer Boy George belting out death metal gutturals is hysterical, as is the Village People-esque police officer who shreds a mean harmonica.

Check out Andy Rehfeldt’s re-imagining of Culture Club’s ‘Karma Chameleon’ in the video above!
