Following the massive success of the ‘Twiight’ movies, it seems that vampires are everywhere. There’s even a band called Vampires Everywhere. And now, there’s a movie about one of our greatest presidents hunting the undead creatures. Video footage of Linkin Park performing the song ‘Powerless’ is used in a three minute music trailer for ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ alongside scenes from the movie.

In case you’re murky on your American history, Abraham Lincoln was not really a vampire hunter. The movie is based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. Starring Benjamin Walker as Lincoln, the president looks to avenge his mother after she is killed by something supernatural, leading to his life as a vampire hunter. Others in the cast include Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

In a movie about Lincoln, what better band to feature than Linkin Park? We're sure honest Abe would have dug the song ‘Powerless’ if it had been around back in the day. It’s from Linkin Park’s upcoming fifth album ‘Living Things,’ which will be released June 26.

The film, directed by Timur Bekambetov and co-produced by Tim Burton, opens on Friday (June 22). In addition to being featured in the music trailer for the movie, ‘Powerless’ is also played over the closing credits of ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.’
