Linkin Park are set to roll out material from their new album 'Living Things' at a performance from  the X Games in Los Angeles. The gig is set to be broadcast via livestream on ... MySpace? We did say Linkin Park's new album, right?

All joking aside, Linkin Park's just-released album 'Living Things' will get the live treatment from the band at the X Games on June 29. The show from Club Nokia will be streamed exclusively at 11PM PT Friday on MySpace.

'Burn it Down,' the first single from 'Living Things,' sat atop the active rock airplay charts until this week when it was dethroned by Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The album is a self-proclaimed return to form for the band, who experimented with more conceptual themes and sounds on 2010's 'A Thousand Suns.'

"When we're writing a record, there's a misconception [that] maybe [we're] thinking of something, and planning a goal, trying to imagine a song and then making a song," Mike Shinoda tells MTV. "That's not how we work. We basically sit down with instruments and try to pull it down out of the air."

Aside from the X Games show, Linkin Park's schedule is open until the kickoff of the Honda Civic Tour, which they are co-headlining with Incubus. The pair begin the tour Aug. 11 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va.; click here for the full list of dates.
