Nikki Sixx seems to be pretty astute at the real estate game. The Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. bassist recently sold his Los Angeles area home for just over $2.4 million.

According to the L.A. Times, the stone-clad Mediterranean home located in a gated community in Calabasas [just north of Los Angeles] has over 4,500 square feet of indoor space and features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a loft, an office, a music room as well as a swimming pool, spa and outdoor barbecue grill and pizza oven.

The 55-year-old bassist bought the house back in 2011 for just over $1.8 million, according to public records.

Sixx resides in Los Angeles where he hosts his 'Sixx Sense' radio show. But he's also been spending a lot of time elsewhere as Motley Crue have been rocking venues across the country on 'The Final Tour' this summer. Plus, things will pick up for Sixx this fall with the release of a new Sixx: A.M. album.

Sixx: A.M. recruited drummer Jeff Fabb for the recording of their new album ‘Modern Vintage.’ Fabb will also perform with the band at their first show in five years at the iHeart Theater in Burbank, Calif. on Tuesday (Oct. 7). The show will be broadcast live on iHeart Radio and select Clear Channel radio stations. Following the performance, Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba and James Michael will do a Q&A session to talk about their new album and make a ‘big announcement.’

The next day (Oct. 8) Sixx: A.M. will be on hand at Best Buy in Burbank for their first ever in-store record signing starting at 7 PM PT. Sixx: A.M.’s ‘Modern Vintage’ album will be released on Tuesday (Oct. 7). You can pre-order now at iTunes and Amazon.

Meanwhile, Motley Crue will return to the road on 'The Final Tour' on Oct. 10 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Check out all their tour dates here.
