Pop Evil are about to get back in front of audiences, both on the concert stage and on television. The group has just announced a late spring run of tour dates with Escape the Fate and they've also shot a promo for the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament with Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels that will feature prominently during broadcasts.

As for their tour, the band will share stages with Escape the Fate beginning April 30 at Pop's just outside of St. Louis. The monthlong run will also feature support from Avatar and Glamour of the Kill. For ticketing information, check this site.

Fans can also catch Pop Evil this weekend in a special promo shot for Raycom Sports' coverage of the 2014 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament. The promo, which can be seen at this location, features the band's 'Trenches' remix from Run-DMC's Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, who also appears on the track. DMC narrates the spot while the song plays in the background and both the band and the rapper have speaking parts in the promo.

Raycom Sports producer Dave Barringer, who created the spot, says, "'Trenches' focuses on the power to control your future, which translates well into the teams fighting their way to the prestigious ACC Championship. By customizing the lyrics, Pop Evil and DMC have captured the growth and change of the ACC Tournament and the teams, from 1954 to the present."

Being associated with basketball is not too far out of the band's realm, as frontman Leigh Kakaty as a finalist for Michigan's Mr. Basketball Award in high school. He averaged 31 points per game as a senior at North Muskegon High School. The opening montage will air as the intro to each telecast game.
