Butcher Babies

If you're looking for something to keep you warm during the winter months, how about the scantily clad Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey pulling off an incendiary performance with their band Butcher Babies while rocking amidst the sweaty crowds on tour last summer. That's the basis for the band's new video for 'I Smell a Massacre.'

In This Moment are currently in the midst of their Hellpop Tour, and now the band has announced a second leg that will kick off Jan. 2. Opening bands will be Butcher Babies, Devour the Day and All Hail the Yeti. The 16-date Hellpop Tour II launches in Portland, Ore. and will traverse the country, ending up in Florida just in time for In This Moment to embark on the ShipRocked cruise.

The lineup for the 2014 class of ShipRocked was already enticing enough with bands like Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach leading the charge but now the floating rock fest just got a little noisier.

Connecticut got rocked this past weekend as one of the summer’s biggest metal tours made a stop in Hartford. Fans kicked up some serious dirt while moshing outside in the lot of the Comcast Theater and rocking to the numerous band that graced the Jagermeister Stage.

Located on a field adjacent to the main amphitheater, the Jägermeister Stage at Mayhem Festival's 2013 kickoff in San Bernardino, Calif., featured a mix of established acts like Machine Head and Job for a Cowboy along with up-and-comers like Butcher Babies, Battlecross and Huntress.

Although Butcher Babies have just released their debut album 'Goliath' in 2013 via Century Media, the band has received lots of attention for the vocal double-team of Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey. The stunning duo are backed up by an all-male instrumental section, combining forces to be called "The Hottest Band in the World."

The 2013 Mayhem Festival may not arrive until late June, but four of the bands on the bill gave a great taste of what's to come at the Mayhem Festival press conference Monday (March 18) in Los Angeles. Headliners Rob Zombie and Five Finger Death Punch fielded questions, while up-and-coming acts Huntress and Butcher Babies took over the Whisky-a-Go-Go for an in-your-face performance.

The foundation of Webster Hall shook on Sunday (Aug. 26) where several women in hard rock and heavy metal showed their strength and talent as they rocked New York City. Otep, Butcher Babies, One-Eyed Doll and more played an intimate gig to an energetic crowd.
