Since My Darkest Days are off to the Cage Match Hall of Fame after winning five matchups in a row, it’s time to introduce two new monster singles into today’s competition.

Trivium enter the Cage Match with their newest single ‘Black’ off of their latest album ‘In Waves.’ Frontman Matt Heafy and the gang are currently on the road with In Flames, Veil of Maya and Kyng; go here for a full list of dates. The band is also set to go on tour with Asking Alexandria, Dir En Grey, I See Stars, Motionless In White and the Amity Affliction.

Mastodon enter the ring with their brand new groovy metal single ‘Dry Bone Valley’ off of their latest album ‘The Hunter.’ The band is teaming up with Opeth and Ghost for a North American tour, with the dates expected to be announced shortly. Check out Loudwire’s review of ‘Dry Bone Valley.’

Rules of Cage Match:

There are no rules … except this one: If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight cage matches, it is retired to the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. With so many great songs out there, we have to give other bands a chance!
