Whenver talk of a Pantera reunion has been discussed over the past few years, oftentimes Zakk Wylde is mentioned as the guitarist that would sit in for the late Dimebag Darrell. Though nothing has come of the reunion as of yet, Wylde has just reiterated that he's in if the guys ever wanted to pursue it.

Speaking earlier this month with the 'Do You Know Jack?' podcast, Wylde says, "It's definitely a good time [when I play with Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown]. I mean, if somebody was to say 'a reunion,' I'd go, we'll it's a reunion of Phil, Rex and Vincenzo [Paul]. But I'm just saying, for me, it's just, it's me going in and honoring and paying tribute [to Dime' at the same time]."

He went on to add, "Whenever we've gotten together and jammed on tunes … and Vinnie sometimes is at Black Label gigs and Vinnie has gotten up on drums and jammed a Black Label tune. And between Hellyeah, we've all [toured] together. So it's always a good time whenever we're all hanging out together."

Wylde says the Pantera question frequently comes up and he has the same response: "That's all up to the fellows. But I love the guys and I'm just a phone call away."

This is not the first time Wylde has said he'd be up for honoring Dimebag if the surviving Pantera members decide to reunite. He has expressed a similar sentiment in previous interviews, as well.

As for the Pantera guys and their thoughts on a potential reunion, drummer Vinnie Paul has been adamant about not reuniting the band, stating that it's time to move on for those holding out for a reunion.

Bassist Rex Brown told us earlier this year, "I never say never when it comes to talk of the three of us getting back together and doing something … We're getting older. If there ever was a time to maybe come together, it's now -- as a tribute to the fallen hero or whatever you want to call it. It's still that legacy of songs you're talking about. That's what it's all about." He added, "It's about the fans. And the music isn't ours anymore. It's the fans. And at some point it needs to be addressed and sooner than f---ing later."

Vocalist Philip Anselmo has been more receptive to the idea of a reunion, but admits there's some personal conflicts that need to be ironed out. "At the end of the day, there would have to be a meeting at a table between Rex, Vince and I and there would have to be a big time understanding between the two of us [Vinnie and Philip] before anything happens at all," explained Philip. "Otherwise I think there is a great percentage of me that says, 'This generation deserves it. Let's do it' And then there's a reservation in me that says, 'You know what, man? Legacies get passed down. This, that, the other. Maybe we should leave it alone and just let it be part of the lore and the history and whatnot."
