Victory belongs to As I Lay Dying once again as they vanquished their latest foes, Caliban. Although Caliban put up a good fight, leaving many readers scratching their heads over who to vote for, As I Lay Dying emerged with their second win in our weekly Death Match.

As I Lay Dying's 'Paralyzed' is two wins away from being declared immortal in Loudwire's Death Match Hall of Fame. However, the metalcore giants face one of metal's biggest forces in Children of Bodom and their 2011 track, 'Was It Worth It?'

Finland's own Children of Bodom will kick off a North American tour Jan. 30 in Rochester, N.Y., in celebration of their 15th year under the CoB name. The group released one of 2011's most celebrated albums, 'Relentless Reckless Forever,' and the disc's track 'Was It Worth It?' displays the band's reputation as masters of the riff, while frontman Alexi Laiho and keyboardist Janne Wirman duel for solo supremacy.

Can As I Lay Dying claim their third straight Death Match win? Or can Bodom lay a 'relentless' beating on the American metalcore band? You decide --cast your vote in the poll below. (Voting ends 01/23 at 10AM ET.)

Rules of Death Match

Two bands fight to the death each week. The triumphant band goes on to compete in the next Death Match. If a band wins four straight Death Matches, its song will be honored as immortal in the Loudwire Death Match Hall of Fame.
