Battle Royale: Skillet, Blameshift Lead Debuts, September Mourning Remain Video Countdown Champ
Here we go again! September Mourning's "20 Below" video, one of the more creative clips of the year to date, is ruling the Battle Royale Video Countdown. The promo just spent its fourth consecutive week in the top spot and is now one chart-topping week away from being retired to the Battle Royale Hall of Fame. As with the past two weeks, Message From Sylvia's "Heart of War" and Earthside's "A Dream in Static" remain the biggest challengers, placing second and third.
Elsewhere on the countdown, it was a big week for debuts. Blameshift's "Monster" scored highest, taking the No. 4 spot in its inaugural week, with Skillet's "Stars" arriving a spot back at No. 5. A little further down, Invidia's "Feed the Fire" took the No. 7 spot. It should also be noted that three-time Battle Royale champ Art of Anarchy has reached its peak amount of eligibility. The clip for "The Madness" will get one final victory lap week of voting before finally being retired. See all of the Battle Royale Top 10 videos below.
It could be time to shake up the Battle Royale a little bit. Several major acts have new clips getting their first crack at the countdown. We've got videos from The Pretty Reckless ("Oh My God"), Pierce the Veil ("Floral & Fading"), Steel Panther ("Poontang Boomerang"), Emmure ("Flag of the Beast"), Islander ("Better Day"), Chickenfoot ("Divine Termination"), Descendents ("No Fat Burger") and Ded ("FMFY") entering the voting. See those clips, along with every eligible video, by clicking on the links in the poll at the bottom of this post. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Friday, Feb. 24 at 11AM ET. So vote now, vote often and ensure your favorite clip makes the cut.
