Light the Fire are unleashing the new song "The Void" to raise awareness about an important cause, and they've teamed up with Loudwire to premiere the music video for the track (watch above).

As you can see, the clip focuses on a young woman waking suddenly, reaching for her pill bottle and being transported back into a world where she's struggling to stay afloat. Meanwhile, the band soundtracks this experience with a song that is forcefully aggressive, grabbing your attention with screaming verses, then pulling it back for a melodic, somewhat dreamlike chorus.

Light the Fire vocalist Seth Davis tells us, "'The Void' was written to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and how people are diagnosed and mis-diagnosed. Our intention with these lyrics is to spread hope to all who listen that they are not alone while dealing with their personal battles, but also serving as cautionary tale about the dangers of prescription medications that can permanently alter your brain chemistry."

If you dig "The Void," it is currently available via Standby Records and you can pick it up at Amazon, iTunes and Google Play. In addition, keep an eye out for Light the Fire on tour. See all of their scheduled tour dates at this location.
