36 Crazyfists Build a Wall With ‘Swing the Noose’ Video
36 Crazyfists have debuted the video for the song 'Swing the Noose" that you can check out above. The clip from the album Time and Trauma features a man building a wall that's both literal and figurative.
In an interview with Loudwire, frontman Brock Lindow says that the past few years have been difficult, including losing his mom to cancer. Those experiences led to the album being titled Time and Trauma.
"I never really realized how much I really needed music until after that," Lindow reveals. "I’ve always had music in my life. It’s always been there for me for the use of emotional outlets but nothing in my life that had happened was that heavy for me personally. Luckily we have awesome friends. At an early age we lost our original bass player in the first year of the band but you know, losing someone so close to me was probably one of the most difficult things that I’ve gone through. I have a lot of parents writing in and that really made me be able to find some peace and some closure writing the record."
Lindow continues, "So the record is all kind of trauma. The very first lyric I wrote for the record is, 'I’ve seen the devil in so many of my days lately I’ve decorated far too many graves.' That was the original lyrics that I wrote before I wrote anything else that turned into this song. Kinda trauma and you know just seemed like a fitting title for the overall theme of the record."
36 Crazyfists will be on the road for the next few months. Their next tour kicks off March 24 in St. Paul, Minn. They'll be playing some shows with Five Finger Death Punch in late April and early May. For all their dates, go here.
