Battlecross to Honor Military Veterans on Upcoming ‘Winter Warriors’ Tour

Battlecross were set to hit the road this fall on a tour with Machine Head, but after that trek was scrapped, they had to come up with alternate plans. Now they will be headlining the 'Winter Warriors' tour, which also includes Wretched and War of Ages (dates below).

Guitarist Hiran Deraniyagala says, "We won't let a cancelled tour stop Battlecross from performing for our fans and the Winter Warriors Tour with Wretched and War of Ages is the perfect way to remind our fans that you keep moving forward when challenges come up in life. Who knows perseverance more than those who bravely serve our country and we are honored to dedicate this tour to them."

Deraniyagala continues, "We are a band that stands for ideals such as loyalty, honor, sacrifice and perseverance through our lyrics and how we conduct ourselves, and hope the tour will be a fitting tribute to every service member who attends. We look forward to raging with our fans who serve or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and thank them again for their service."

In honor of the United States Armed Forces, Battlecross will make some free tickets available for local military members at each tour stop. In addition, a veteran will be selected in each city for a VIP experience, and a portion of sales from a limited edition tour shirt will be donated to a local veterans charity.
