Cry Venom, ‘Second Wind’ – Exclusive Video Premiere

Breathe deep! Cry Venom are ready to unleash a brand new video and we at Loudwire are teaming up with the band to exclusively premiere their clip for "Second Wind." Watch the video in the player provided above.

As you can hear, "Second Wind" is a fast paced rocker accentuated by a pulsing low end crushing the bottom of the track while the synth work balances things out on the higher end. Meanwhile, the clip finds the band performing against the backdrop of southwestern mountainous vegetation, scenery which definitely catches the eye.

You might recognize Cry Venom as the group guitarist Jacky Vincent helped create with keyboardist Colton Majors after his exit from Falling in Reverse. For Vincent, the move allowed him to jump into a style he'd long wanted to play. “I have wanted to play melodic power/speed metal since I was about 14-years-old. When the band was formed we wanted to add lots of different elements to the metal music we loved to give it an almost video game vibe where anything goes. Sometimes we have symphonic elements, sometimes electronic and sometimes hardcore.”

The guitarist goes on to address the triumphant new song, explaining, "'Second Wind' is about picking yourself up off the ground and resurrecting yourself when you have been beaten down and hit rock-bottom. We wanted to mix the aggressive riffing metal with the melodic uplifting choruses to contrast the sense of struggle leading to the salvation. Our director Kaster Troy and his team found a really interesting clearing high up a mountain for the shoot. It seemed like a very metal location. If only there was snow too.."

"Second Wind" is featured on Cry Venom's debut disc, Vanquish the Demon, which is available to purchase via iTunes and Amazon.

The group is rounded out by Davey Suicide bassist Niko Gemini, singer Aleksey Smirnov and drummer Wyatt Cooper. With the new song "Second Wind" now ready for the spotlight, the band will head back out on tour in September and early October. Dates can be seen below.
