The Pantera Logo Name Generator Is Here
Yesterday (March 22) marked the 25th anniversary of Pantera's Far Beyond Driven. In celebration of this milestone, the band has followed suit with the likes of Metallica and Judas Priest, issuing a logo generator where fans (or websites) can input their name and see what it looks like stylized in the classic Pantera font.
Upon entering the desired text at the dedicated logo generator site, there's the option to download the image as a square or vertical rectangle, as well as share directly to Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp.
Here's some of your favorite bands (and one not so favorite band) with a revamped logo as depicted on the Far Beyond Driven album cover.
Upon its release in 1994, Far Beyond Driven rocketed up the charts, landing at the summit and claiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 charts. While heaviness is purely subjective, there's no debate about it — this album is easily the heaviest recording ever to take the top spot on the charts, a conquest that not even Pantera themselves had envisioned.
Not only was the music controversial ("Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills," especially) but the originally proposed album art was as well. That drill bit had been intended to impale an anus rather than a skull and some copies with this artwork were pressed before the switch was made.
