Sons of Texas Announce First U.S. Tour

Sons of Texas are enjoying another milestone in what's turning out to be a breakout year for the group. The band will play its first major U.S. tour later this month, with dates beginning April 22 in Houston.

Included in the run will be appearances at several major festival events. They include Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Rocklahoma, KLAQ Festival, the FMX Big Purple Party, the KEGL BFD Show, the Cowboy Harley Davidson Festival and a festival event at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton, Texas.

And given the band name, it's no coincidence that the five-piece band will be playing eight shows in Texas. "We're proud of being a Texas hard rock band. That's everything to us," says guitarist Jon Olivares. "Texas is the biggest state, has a great history of football teams and an outstanding musical legacy."

The tour comes in support of the band's Baptized in the Rio Grande album, which has already spawned the title track as a lead single. Check out the video for the song here. The group also premiered the song "Never Bury the Hatchet" here at Loudwire back in February. Take a listen to the song here.
