What's it like for an up-and-coming band on the road? We get a little glimpse of that in the new Battlecross video for "Absence" off the group's Rise to Power album.

The David Brodsky-directed clip opens with a view inside their touring van as they motor across country on the way to another performance. As you can see, there's not much room and the guys are taking turns resting between their gigs. And that's a good thing, because the majority of the video centers on their energetic live show.

Viewers are taken onstage for headbanging, the hairflips, the relentless riffing and some brutal vocals from the Motor City rockers. Battlecross guitarist Tony Asta says, "The music video for 'Absence' delivers an in-your-face onslaught full of hair, sweat, and aggression. The video captures our live show like never before, Dave Brodsky combines the on stage rage with some off stage antics raising the bar to a whole new level. Warning: watching this video may cause excessive headbanging."

As stated, "Absence" comes from the band's Rise to Power album, which arrives on Aug. 21. The band has already issued the song "Spoiled," which premiered right here at Loudwire. Another song titled "Not Your Slave" is streaming at this location. They've also been releasing a series of webisodes leading up to the album's release. Check out the most recent one here.
