Experimental band Iwrestledabearonce are back and have announced the release of their forthcoming studio album, ‘Late for Nothing,’ due out Aug. 6.

The new disc is the first with singer Courtney LaPlante, who joined the band last year for their Warped Tour trek. In a press release, guitarist Steven Bradley says, "The entire album came together as a result of us wanting to do something different."

He continues, "We didn't want to make another weird IWABO album or whatever people were expecting. We set out to make something different and better than anything we've ever released. It's a more evolved version of the band. We explored new styles and genres as well—especially in terms of the more spacey, epic, and beautiful parts. It's got the most melodic moments of our career as well as the heaviest."

New singer LaPlante originally joined their band as their fill-in vocalist because the group’s their original vocalist Krysta Cameron went on leave due to her pregnancy. Last summer in an interview with Property of Zack, bassist Mike ‘Ricky’ Martin addressed the situation, revealing, “I’m going to say she’s permanently gone,” when asked about Cameron’s status.

Iwrestledabearonce are set to release ‘Thunder Chunky’ as the first single of the album and are also gearing up to be a part of this year’s All Stars Tour with Everytime I Die. Check out a full list of tour dates here.
