KISS Release New Mobile Adventure Game ‘KISS Rock City’
In their 40+ years of being a band, KISS have infected all aspects of culture, including movies, comic books, vault manufacturing and of course their many albums. The group has recently released a new addition to their many products: a brand new free-to-play digital game for mobile devices: KISS Rock City. The game is available now on the iOS App Store and from Google Play.
The game allows players to customize their character, and guides them through the process of working their way up as a band like KISS did back in the day. Players will find themselves performing from the local bar circuit to arenas, playing along with original KISS hits and eventually reaching fame thanks to skill, business deals and advice from the members of KISS.
Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley jointly stated, "KISS is very excited to be partnering with Sproing to bring the KISS Army and game enthusiasts such an entertaining mobile game. The game play rocks, we know you'll love it!"
This isn't the first foray for KISS into the wild world of video games. Back in the late '90s and early 2000s it was a completely different landscape for gaming, and leaned heavily towards first-person shooters. They released Kiss: Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child in 2000 as a tie in with their Kiss: Psycho Circus comic book and album of the same name. That game followed a KISS tribute band receiving superhuman powers, and had players traveling around a demonic first-person shooter landscape.
KISS Rock City is out now, and you can check out the trailer above.
