Dave Mustaine formed Megadeth after being kicked out of Metallica in 1983. Ever since, the battle for the thrash crown has been fought by the two bands.
After a very long period of bad blood and feuding, Metallica and Megadeth finally made up and even shared the stage at various 'Big 4' concerts. Mustaine even performed with Metallica at one of their recent 30th anniversary shows.
Moreover, Mustaine has recently talked of himself and Megadeth bassist David Ellefson forming a supergroup with Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. No matter what, the Megadeth frontman has a desire to make music with his two former bandmates.
