Misfits Impose Strict ‘No Cellphone’ Rule at Upcoming Las Vegas Reunion Show
The advent of most people having a high quality photo and video camera with them at all times thanks to smartphones has made things much different for concertogers and bands than it has in the past. The Misfits are seemingly not standing for anybody using their smartphones during their upcoming reunion performance in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand, as AXS and Ticketmaster have released statements restricting any usage of smart devices at the upcoming show.
"No cellphones, smart watches, cameras or recording devices will be permitted during The Original Misfits reunion shows," the statement from AXS and Ticketmaster read. "These exclusive one-off performances will be completely phone-free. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr cases that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby. Anyone caught using a cellphone during the performance will be removed from the venue. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience."
Guests will have full possession of their phones throughout the night, but they will be locked in cases that prevent access to usage during the show. The same cases were used by Guns N' Roses during their reunion at the Troubadour in Los Angeles back in 2016, as well as various other artists. So if you're planning on going to one of the upcoming Misfits reunion gigs, you'll have to make due with memory over media.

Misfits will also be playing a Dec. 30 show at the Forum in Los Angeles. No other dates for the reunion have been announced. The classic Misfits lineup reunited for the first time in 2016, taking part in multiple Riot Fest performances.
