Disturbing news to report from Deicide and Broken Hope's El Paso, Texas, show last night (Oct. 22). According to Broken Hope, a fan's throat was slashed with a box cutter during the band's set.

Death metalers Deicide played to a packed house over the weekend at Irving Plaza in New York City. Ear-blistering support included Broken Hope, Disgorge, Necronomicon and Day of Doom.

As the famous story goes, Deicide's Glenn Benton reportedly marched in the office of Roadrunner Records' A&R man Monte Connors, slammed a demo onto his desk and decreed, "Sign us, you f---ing a--hole!"

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has proven to be the most controversial figure in metal today, with his array of conservative and religious rants seemingly coming out of left field. Mustaine's critics are many -- one of whom is Deicide frontman Glen Benton.

In an incredibly close battle to the death, Swedish extreme metal masters Meshuggah were successful in defeating their Nuclear Blast labelmates All Shall Perish. This marks Meshuggah's second victory in a row, with only two more victories to go until their track ‘Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion’ is inducted into the Death Match Hall of Fame.

Legendary death metal act Deicide have released a new video for the track 'Conviction' from their 2011 album, 'To Hell With God.' The claymation video depicts Jesus rising out of a dumpster in New York City only to be chased and sent to the depths of hell by Deicide frontman Glen Benton.
