Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has proven to be the most controversial figure in metal today, with his array of conservative and religious rants seemingly coming out of left field. Mustaine's critics are many -- one of whom is Deicide frontman Glen Benton.

As one of Christianity's most adamant enemies throughout his career, Benton became infamous within metal realms by repeatedly branding an inverted cross into his forehead for many years. Amongst other topics during a recent interview with MetalSucks, Benton drew an hilarious parallel between Mustaine and a prolapsed rectum (or a "pink sock" for all you internet aficionados).

Benton was asked for his opinion on Mustaine's born-again Christian beliefs and his support of Presidential candidate Rick Santorum. "He's a prolapsed rectum. One minute you're in, the next you're out. Let's just say prolapsed rectum."

The Deicide frontman continued to comment on the current Republican candidates for the Presidency. "The people we have running for president are nothing more than talk shows hosts," says Benton. "It’s a farce, an absolute joke. There’s no one with any sincerity, no one real. I want to see a real person run for president. I want a real person with real person problems running for president. Some rich guy with rich guy problems, they think us schmucks at the bottom don’t mean s--t."
