Thanks so much to everyone who helped make our very first Extreme Metal Olympics so successful. After nearly three weeks and hundreds of thousands of votes being cast throughout, Japanese experimental metal band Dir En Grey defeated the legendary Death to capture the gold medal.

Asking Alexandra are kicking off 2012 with some big news: they’ll be headlining a blockbuster North American tour in March and April.

Fresh off of their European tour, Japanese metal sensation Dir En Grey are gearing up to hit the road again with a string of dates in South America and North America at the end of this year.
