The Amity Affliction have put in the work and soon will return with their new album, This Could Be Heartbreak. The band revealed the news with an online interview webcast via their social media. The album is currently on schedule for an Aug. 12 street date via Roadrunner Records.

For their latest disc, the band reunited with producer Will Putney for the disc. During the course of the interview (posted below), the band reveals that This Could Be Heartbreak is a concept album and that they feel it's a more mature offering from the group. "This one sounds like I wrote it for myself before I knew what was going to happen at the end of it," says vocalist Joel Birch. "I had a pretty rough moment in my life, but then we got the album back afterward, and I messaged Ahren [Stringer] and I was like, 'Holy s--t, it's like I wrote this for now, before,' so it's weird." He adds, "I was heading down the rabbit hole rapidly, crashing down, so now I have an album to listen to."

To get the ball rolling on the new disc, the band just debuted the video for "I Bring the Weather With Me," a powerful clip that can be seen in the player above. It's one of eleven new songs from the band. You can check out the track listing and the artwork for the disc below. At present, there are a variety of limited edition physical bundle pre-orders available via the band's website, with the digital service provider pre-orders going live this Thursday (May 19).

After recording the album, the band is anxious to get out and play and they've just announced a run of Australian headlining shows, along with dates in the U.K., followed by shows in the U.S. this fall. See all of their touring stops here.
