Uproar Festival Kicks Off 2012 Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands

Local bands out there dying to get your music heard: Your big shot may be here. The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival has launched its 2012 Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, powered by Imagen Records.

Starting today (June 19), unsigned bands can enter to win a chance to rock out live on the Ernie Ball Stage in their respective markets during this year’s massive trek. All of the finalists will compete for the grand prize: a coveted spot on the 2013 Uproar Festival, the opportunity to record an EP with production bigwig Jay Baumgardner at NRG Recording Studios in Hollywood, Calif., $10,000 worth of band gear and more rock goodies. This year’s judges for the battle include Jose Mangin from Sirius XM, Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance, acclaimed producer/mixer Jay Baumgardner and music industry veteran Bill McGathy.

Last year's winner, Mindset Evolution, will be part of the lineup for this year's Uproar Festival, which kicks off in August. The trek features hard-rocking talent from the likes of Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach and more. Check out the complete 30-date itinerary here.
