Has it been a dream of yours to hang with Anthrax and down a few pints with the band? It has? Well you can make this a reality as the New York thrash vets have just announced a 'Beer Crawl' to celebrate the release of their first ever signature brew, Wardance Pale Ale!

The New York City booze trek will start at Daddy-O at 6PM ET on March 28, which is a fitting launching point for this event. In 2016, members of the band were sitting around at Daddy-O where the idea to release an Anthrax beer was born. After an hour, the crawl will move to Half Pint followed by One Mile House, Top Hops and finally the RMP Bar After Party to close everything out. The night's full itinerary can be seen below.

The band will be joined by Chuck Williamson, owner and head brewer of Butternuts Beer and Ale Brewery where Wardance is made as they hop from bar to bar. Entry for fans is completely free, operating on a first-come, first-serve basis with a no-host bar. RSVP on Facebook here.

Drummer Charlie Benante commented on Wardance, stating, “Finding the right taste that all of us loved was really important, but it was also important that the beer not leave people feeling heavy or filled up afterwards. The other thing I love about our beer is that it goes really well with a burger. It’s the one beer to have when you’re having a ‘Wardance.'”

Anthrax will kick off their co-headlining tour with Killswitch Engage the next night in Montclair, N.J., circling around the U.S., finishing off the jaunt in Boston on May 7. For a full list of stops, head to our 2017 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
